SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is hereby amended so as to rezone: Two tracts of land located in the 2400 and 2500 blocks of Cowart Street, being on the northwest and southeast lines of Cowart Street at West 25th Street. Tract 1: Lots 1-6, block 3, George T. White's Addition, as shown by plat of record deed book D, volume 2, page 246, R.O.H.C. Said lots form one tract fronting 292.5 feet on the northwest line of Cowart Street, and extending northwest 135 feet between parallel lines to the southeast line of an alley, the northeast line of said tract being the southwest line of West 25th Street, and the southwest line of said tract being the northeast line of West 27th Street. Tract 2: Part of lot 7, block 6, George T. White's Addition, as shown by plat of record in deed book D, volume 2, page 246, R.O.H.C. Said part of lot begins at the intersection of the southeast line of Cowart Street with the northeast line of West 25th Street, fronts 38.75 feet on Cowart Street, and extends southwest 135 feet between parallel lines to the northwest line of an alley, the southwest line of said tract being the northeast line of West 25th Street. from R-3 Residential Zone to C-2 Convenience Commercial District. SECTION 2. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the public welfare requiring it.
